Look who didn’t go to the butcher! Animal Rahat was able to convince four owners to retire their elderly bullocks, including the handsome one pictured above, and allow them to live the rest of their lives at home instead of selling them for slaughter. This will spare these dear animals an arduous journey of hundreds of miles to the states where cattle slaughter is legal—as well as a terrifying death in which their throats would’ve been sawn through with a dull blade while they were fully conscious.

Below is another of the four who’ve been retired at home. He’s so painfully thin that you might think, “He couldn’t have been sold for meat—he’s only skin and bones.” But not only are these animals slaughtered for meat, they’re also killed to make leather. Fortunately, this gentle bullock got to keep his skin, thanks to Animal Rahat.
