All of Animal Rahat’s bullock retirees and the resident donkey are easing into a harmonious social dynamic, with the more cautious bullocks slowly realizing that they can trust people and that their days of being beaten and pulled by the nose are over.

A key to earning the bullocks’ trust has been to provide them with daily grooming sessions. Just look at the expression on this fine fellow’s face:

These bullocks have endured years of hard labor. Now muscle loss because of inactivity must be prevented—what a switch! So as the sanctuary staffers go about their daily routines, they encourage the bullocks to tag along with them so that the bullocks get exercise.
