Palm Civet Rescue

 

 

This beautiful individual—who looks somewhat like a cross between a cat and a raccoon—is a palm civet. Someone in Kalambi village called Animal Rahat to report that that the civet had been treed by villagers who had also set a pack of hunting dogs on the terrified animal. The civet had been in a state of panic for several hours. The Rahat team rushed to the scene, sent the dogs away, carefully netted the civet, and released the animal into a safe and suitable area.
