Look out, Gisele Bündchen—there’s a fresh face on the scene, and the camera loves her. The black-and-white puppy below is Julie, who was rescued from heavy traffic by a compassionate store owner. He was not able to keep her, so he called Animal Rahat for help, and a staffer immediately picked her up and took her to our Home for Retired Bullocks to live with other rescued animals, including several other dogs.

Several days later, a kind man came to our gate after dark, having just rescued a puppy who had been hit by a motorcycle. We named her Janu. Her leg had been injured, and she walked with a limp. But she quickly recovered after treatment, and she now spends her days running and playing with Julie. Both puppies have been spayed, dewormed, and vaccinated, and they are up for adoption.
