The fishhook that pierced this dog’s lip dug painfully into the sensitive flesh of his mouth every time he moved his jaw. Unable to dislodge it himself, he stopped eating and drinking.

This village dog was suffering tremendously after a discarded fishhook became stuck in his mouth.
Luckily, this guy has kind people who feed and look after him, and they quickly noticed when he skipped a meal and called Animal Rahat’s emergency line for help. Staff sedated him, gently removed the hook, and gave him pain medicine before taking him back to the office.

Animal Rahat gently removed the fishhook after sedating the dog.
He spent the night more relaxed, with as much food and water as he wanted and plenty of reassuring pats and affection from the staff, before the team sterilized and vaccinated him. After another night of attentive, loving care, he was taken back to his village and released.
