When improving the lives of donkeys in the communities around Maharashtra by providing free grooming, hoof trimming demonstrations, and medical care, Animal Rahat’s team knows adding a handful of treats to their field supplies is important. After working with a donkey, the experts make sure they offer the treats as a way of saying, “Thank you for letting me touch you.” This may make the donkey less fearful the next time the expert or their owner cares for them.
