This gentle dog was spotted with a trail of barbed wire hanging from her leg, and a kind villager’s call to an Animal Rahat emergency line had staff rushing to help her.

This village dog needed help fast after a string of barbed wire somehow became embedded in her upper thigh, twisting deep into her skin. Recognizing the team was there to help, she sat quietly as they sedated her. The team gently removed the wire before transporting her to a nearby site to recover. After a week of around-the-clock care, the team sterilized and vaccinated her and, once she was fully recovered, returned her to her village.
