This photo was taken during a workshop that we conducted for government livestock health providers in the region. The pony being examined is Sagar, whom we recently welcomed into our Home for Retired Bullocks, along with another pony, Saifali. Both came from the Rambo Circus, which, following a legal complaint that detailed numerous animal-welfare violations, surrendered all the animals it had been using. Now instead of being forced to perform and being hauled around with inadequate food, water, and shelter, Sagar and Saifali can relax and enjoy living like ponies, not like neglected wind-up toys with no other purpose than to amuse onlookers.
