Unknown vandals damaged a wall between the sanctuary’s hay-stacking shed and dung pit and smashed windows in the education center last month. Local police are on the case, and thankfully, the residents are far away from that area—so far that not even one of the dogs heard anything! No one was harmed or threatened in any way, but now there’s the additional, unexpected expense of making the repairs.

Construction of the new buildings is coming along. Before the education center is complete, it just needs final interior touch-ups—and, of course, new windows. (The photo below was taken before the vandalism.)

The water tank went up quickly and is almost done, and external finishing touches were made to the surgical facility and the office (below).

The sanctuary’s agricultural landscape is thriving, and many new trees and grasses have been planted.

The staff also replaced the grooming mats near the roundhouse and sand pits, installed new mineral blocks, and gave the water troughs a fresh coat of lime.
