We recently transferred more animals from our Home for Retired Bullocks to our sister sanctuary in the Nilgiri Hills. Making the voyage were the last of the 22 donkeys we rescued from a life of grueling labor at a brick kiln—including Jack and Tiger pictured below grooming each other. Joining them were Gopal—an abandoned donkey foal we rescued two years ago—as well as four goats we rescued from circuses last year. The climate in the Nilgiris will be more suitable for them.
