Here’s a brief snapshot of some of the ways Animal Rahat helped make a difference for animals in recent weeks:

  • We removed illegal hobbles and tethers from eight donkeys and six bullocks.
  • We reached 796 students through Compassionate Citizen presentations at 11 schools.
  • We conducted meetings in nine villages to promote animal-welfare practices such as hoof cleaning for donkeys and ectoparasite prevention for bullocks.
  • We sterilized 41 “community dogs” in Adhiv, the latest village to join our spay/neuter network.
  • We vaccinated 172 donkeys against tetanus.

So many animals benefited from Animal Rahat’s work over the past month, and we are always working harder to retire more animals from a life of punishing labor, broaden our community outreach, and save animals from life-threatening circumstances.

Thank you for keeping these animals—and this vital program—in your thoughts and in your heart.
