Persistence pays! Team members spent days searching for this troubled little calf.

This free-roaming bull calf was in pain: he had a rope deeply embedded in his neck, and you could smell the rotting flesh before you came close to him. It took Animal Rahat rescuers two days of searching to find him, and approaching him meant navigating around his protective herd. Once the team had him safely secured, they sedated him, removed the rope that had eaten into his neck, and treated him with antibiotics and painkillers. Now recovering and back with his bovine family, he is steadily healing with regular follow-up care from staff to ensure he stays on the mend.
