At Animal Rahat’s new sanctuary, the staff is continuing to tie up loose ends. The 11 animals who remained at the old Home for Retired Bullocks have all been transferred to their new residences—the five rescued dogs are now at the new sanctuary, and the six rescued ponies have been transferred to Animal Rahat’s sister sanctuary in the beautiful Nilgiri Hills.

The sandpits, water trough, and roundhouse have all been completed, and all the horses, bullocks, and camels have become used to grazing in the open field together. It’s wonderful to see all of them mingling peacefully with no need for barriers or pens.
