Always looking for opportunities to share the Compassionate Citizen program with young learners, staff worked with the Rajarambapu Institute of Technology to present a special humane education course at its workshop for kids. The children were enthusiastic about doing things to help animals, such as celebrating a firework-free Diwali that spares animals the trauma of explosions and not using glass-coated kite string, which cuts through birds’ wings. They ΓÇ£oohed” and ΓÇ£aahed” at our rescue videos—which are important, as several students who’ve taken this course remembered what they’d learned and later called the team to help animals in trouble.
